Home Buyer Education

Learn about the home buying process and homeownership. 

 

  • Sweat Equity Home Ownership Program

 

  • Referral service to lenders offering VA, FHA, conventional and state bond loan programs for first time homebuyers
  • Special Housing Programs

Introductory Workshop on Buying and Owning a Home

    There will be a two hour long introductory workshop on buying and owning a home coming soon. The workshop is free and open to everyone. No pre-registration is required. The introductory workshop will be held at the WSU Visitor Center Conference Room. The address is 225 North Grand Ave. Pullman, WA 99163

    Topics to be covered include:

  • What do I need to do first?
  • Credit questions
  • Budgeting for Success
  • How much can I afford?
  • Who will be helping me through the process?
  • How long will it take?
  • Understanding the language
  • Learn how to begin your journey to homeownership and receive a free guide to take home.


First Time Homebuyer Classes

    A first time homebuyers class will be coming soon. The class runs for about five hours long with breaks taken between sessions. The homebuyers class will be held at Community Action Center. You will need to register with for the classes one week in advance to enroll.
