Self-Help Program - Purchase a Home with No Down Payment

The CAC Self-Help Program provides an opportunity for families with moderate to low income to become homeowners by earning their down payment by painting the inside/outside of the home and doing the landscaping. All work is usually done during weekday evening hours and weekends.  Payments are affordable with a USDA Section 502 loan and are based on the household income.  CAC provides a 0% interest, no payment loan for 15% of the purchase price.  Four (4) homes are ready to built in Palouse as soon as the loan closes with USDA.   The price of homes in Whitman County makes it difficult for most working families to become homeowners.
