Getting LEGAL
ASSISTANCE In Whitman County
The Whitman County Legal Services program works to find legal
resources for low-income residents
who are in need. If you qualify for help, the
Legal Services Coordinator is available to: |

Refer |
You to
available agencies for legal advice and information. For example, your legal
question may be answered by Coordinated Legal Education Advice & Referral
(CLEAR) advocates, the Northwest Women’s Law Center, the Attorney General’s
office or the Tenant’s Union. |

Schedule |
You to attend a clinic
where you can learn about the law and how to represent yourself in divorce,
custody, or landlord/tenant issues.

Find |
An attorney to meet with you or
represent you. Some attorneys in Whitman County volunteer to help people who
cannot afford legal services. This assistance may only be available after you
get legal advice from CLEAR or attend a clinic or other training. |

Provide |
Information about Whitman
County court forms and rules. If you qualify for help, we will help you find the
right forms and understand local court rules. |
