Volunteer at Food Bank

How Can You Help?

Only through your efforts can we achieve our mission of ending hunger in Whitman County. Volunteers are the heart of our operations. We rely on volunteers to inspect, sort, shelve, and distribute donated food. When you donate your time to the Pullman Food Bank you become a partner in the fight against hunger. Whether you are available on weekdays, evenings, or weekends, you can ensure that a single mom can feed her child, that a child can enjoy a nutritious meal, or that a senior citizen is able to receive a bag of healthful groceries. Just one morning or afternoon can make a difference to a family or individual in need.

Volunteer Opportunities and Hours

We need volunteers like you to help sort, package and distribute healthy food for hungry people in our area. Join us! We have a variety of times and commitment levels

  • Be a regular volunteer during food bank hours.
  • Sign-up to be a substitute for a regular volunteer
  • Volunteer to pick up garden produce or food donations
  • Volunteer to pick up bread from local bakeries
  • Help with special events or food drives
  • Be on a call list to help stock shelves or unload shipments

We welcome corporate teams, office groups, schools, service organizations, alumni groups, associations, families, fraternities and sororities, and religious organizations.
